Value of CJ/SCJ parts
« on: February 05, 2015, 08:03:08 PM »
What kind of value could a man put on each of these parts:
1)CJ/SCJ block, C6ME  "C" scratch on rear. standard bore. minimal surface rust.
2)SCJ C6AE-E cap screw rods with original "428 SUPER" stamped pistons.
3) set of C8OE-6090-N  16 bolt heads with valves and springs.

Any help appreciated.

1969 or 1970 dated parts? 1970 dated parts should command a premium.

Block date code is 8J14.

I'll have to check and see what the heads date codes are.
From my understanding, 69-70 SCJ rods are C6AE-E. Where would the date code be on the rods? Don't say on the 428CJ registry.

Not sure that the rods have identifiable dates. Block and cylinder heads is what I meant.

Early 1969 dated Block with a standard bore is still a good find.
