I have a box of pulleys and am trying to remember which are for my 70 R code?  Non a/c, non ps, with pb. Any help would be appreciated.

The crank pulley I believe should be C8AE-6312-D, and the water pump I think is still a 3 sheave pulley even without P/S? Ink stamped, no obvious casting stamp. You would have to check diameters to identify.

The water pump pulley is a 3 groove pulley with a C8AE-8509-C before 9/1/69. And a C8OE-8509-A after 9/1/69 with an outer diameter of 7 7/64" on both and an inner diameter of 6 17/64" on both.

interesting reading on the 428 forum. I noticed under the "water pump pulley notes" that our own Brian Conway found between the two sheaves C6TE-8509-C. That pulley, from the mustangtek website, is for a 68 289, 302 Fairlane and Falcon and also 69-70 390 Ford. I'm assuming that 2 pulleys were grafted together to form the C8OE-8509-A ??

Those kind of pulleys are the ones that are typically ink stamped for identification.

The C8OE - A pulley is a smidge smaller than the C8AE-C.

C8OE-A = 2 sheaves at 6", 1 sheave at 5 and 3/64"

Mikes dimensions are correct for the Pulley except it is a 3 sheave

C8OE-8509-A   5 3/64" and 6"

C8AE-8509-C    6 17/64" and 7 7/64"

Lots of errors on Mustang Tek
