Engine to Bell Housing Separator Plate
« on: January 16, 2015, 06:56:21 PM »
I checked the prior postings via the Search function and I found that the thin metal plate between the engine and the transmission should be painted engine color for the 1970 MY.  Can I assume that is also the case for the 1966 MY?  A blue separator plate with the area around the starter not painted or thinly painted.

Yes, that would be correct.  Attached to engine when painted, minimal paint around starter hole.

Remember that since it was in place when the engine was painted the thin edge and exposed (very small sections) face around the sides and top of the engine were painted also
