Correct hose clamps - 67 C code San Jose
« on: January 02, 2015, 12:10:05 AM »
With stapled wire radiator hose clamps being correct for a 1967 San Jose C-code, which I've read here, what are the correct clamps used on heater hoses and bypass hose?  A drawing I have in a factory workshop manual shows heater hose clamps resembling the pedestal style.

Thanks,

The pedestal style is correct for the heater hose and bypass hose. FYI the 2 clamps on the bypass hose and the hose were painted along with the block.

Thank you, very helpful. That's an important detail - painted bypass hose and clamps.  Good to remember for concours- level work.

Keep in mind that the only practical reason to use the pedestal clamps is for concours level work. If not you are better off using the more reliable and better designed screw clamps.
