67 deluxe seat pivot washers
« on: December 27, 2014, 10:39:52 AM »
All,
I am restoring my front bucket seats and have a question.  Is the plastic washer that goes under the pivot pins on both sides suppose to be black plastic or white?  The ones I removed are a milky white, but the ones sold by venders are black.  Any help would appricated.
Thanks,
John

My front seat didn't had any.
Probably that isn't good/correct, but it was so.
Even the retainer clip for blocking the pivot pins weren't there.
Kind regards,

That's interesting fastback2013.  I had only one white disk on mine and no retainer pins either.  I just figured they had be taken apart by a PO and lost.  Hopefully someone will chine in with pictures or more info.
Thanks for the feedback.  John

IMHO they were not plastic, but were a dark grey fiber washer.

Out of curiosity I removed the lower and back trim of my deluxe other (passenger) seat.
Must confirm, no washers and also no retainer clip.
It's always possible that the 2 seats where once taken apart, however when seeing the actual result, much unlikely...
Concerning the remark that the washer(s) is in a dark grey fiber : I have the AMK seat moulding dlx kit (F-300) and there are 4 washers in grey/light black color.
So, is that then correct? They have an outside diam of 41mm (1 39/64 inch)...

Yes I would say that is correct.
