That's great Jeff.  I'm still not sure it made it to any production vehicles, but first picture like that I have seen.  Good find. 
Do you know what issue or year of Shop Tips?  I assume a 67?


IMHO Shop Tips vehicles were not preproduction vehicles like those used in ads and advertising but instead (especially later in the year) production vehicles  that were used just a examples to show workers working and or tools/processes put into use. Statements from a couple of the company photographers IMHO supported this

Will look to see if I can figure out what issue this picture was taken from

years ago while on the phone with a mustang expert, i was told that there was a rare long 70-73 shield for the 27-f and that an original low mile 73 grande that he just purchased had it. He said he would bring it up in a future magazine battery article. Now i see this , and im guessing he just didnt take a good look? Thanks for the info here...

Just found these early shield pixs where were on ebay at some point.
