67 fastback floor console
« on: May 26, 2016, 09:25:45 PM »
I know the length of the console is different for an a/c car......and I understand the sides are trimmed for convertible installation.  Are the side contours the same on both sides on an original fastback console?  It appears the left(driver's)side is trimmed more than the other, up to the seam line.

Are you thinking 65-66 when you say the length is different ? will be able to check our 67 for side trim on the weekend.

The consoles in '67 factory(in dash) a/c cars is cut shorter to allow for the configuration of the floor vents...at least that's my understanding and what I've seen.  The '65-'66 are shorter due to the "hang on" a/c unit.

I do not believe they are identical, maybe post a picture of the area of concern with your question.

Here are 2 close ups of my center console...
It's a fastback but no A/C !
There is indeed a difference between drivers side and passengers side.
It appears that there was no trimming at the drivers side, but my car is a non A/C car offcourse
If you want dimensions or other angles of the center console, just ask  :)
hope that this is want you want/need,
Kind regards,
Jeroen
