Topic: 1966 San Jose Radiator support insulator pad

Interesting in collecting Vins or month of production for San Jose Mustangs which were originally equipped with a radiator shroud.

There appears to have been two versions

- One with a small square insulating rubber pad on the passenger side which sort of lined up with the inside edge of the battery tray. (Shown below)

- And one without this pad


Got either one on your original car? I'ld like to know

Not sure if this one is going anywhere - just collecting data at the moment

We had one on ours too Jeff. It was original to the car, retained with the 2-core brackets, original hardware, etc. Had an accident in ~1991, where I had pulled off onto a shoulder to view the waves and the scenery at Hearst Castle, CA., hit a dip, had old (and somewhat flexible motor mounts) and the fan got hold of it and messed it up so badly, I had to remove it to get back to the hotel. I replaced it with a new one from NPD with the pad stapled, as in your photo.
