Topic: Latch Bar on Hood Plating

I don't have the engineering drawings to determine the plating on the latch bar.  Is it suppose to be zinc with yellow chromate conversion?  Alan

For 1970 what I typically see is a zinc dichromate finish on the hood catch that is mounted to the hood.

Thanks Marcus,  I will check if the plater I was intending to use does Dichromate.  I know he does Yellow chromate.   Alan

Zinc Dichromate is another name for Yellow Chromate. They are the same thing as far as I know. At the very least they look identical.

Bob, thanks.  That is what I initially thought, but than I Googled "Dichromate color" and it said orange with a reddish tint.  Confused by Google again!  Alan
