Hope the NOS one you got the color from was the same color as originally used. Not unusual for service replacements to be different tints and tones
As for the black out detail behind the side and rear molding here is what I found in my files
Hope it helps
Basically, like other plants, the areas of concern (on the sides) were between the front fender and door/rocker gap and between the quarter panel section, the rocker panel section and the rear door edge.
At the rear the gap between the taillight cover/clad and the taillights, gas cap and around the trunk lock.
Not as many nice pictures of NJ cars since they tended not to hold up well over the years but here you go
Appears the black out was sprayed on like the pinch weld black out. Pinch weld black out appears to have been applied wider/higher than we often see. There was on very early example that showed a slightly different pattern but that would likely not apply to your car given your build date
Quarter panel to rocker and door
Passenger side fender to door gap
Taillight panel - in the one example it appears the black has been polished or worn off where is was accessible
Hard to see but it appears that the area around the trunk lock is black out when comparing contrast and color
Example where it appears the shop of owner had started removing the black-out
Hope this helps
