Front stabilizer bar
« on: September 08, 2014, 10:55:47 AM »
It is my understanding that Ford made three sizes of front stabilizer bars for the 1966 model year.  5/8" for the 6 cylinder and the 2BBL and 4BBL V8's. The K-code and the Special Handling Package option had 7/8" and the Shelby had 1".  Is that correct? How about the rubber isolators and the U-shaped clamps that hold them to the body?  Would there be three sizes of those too?  Thank you.

IIRC the handling pkg bar is 13/16 and yes there would be three different rubber isolators but not necesarily three clamps as the mounting holes are located at the same place for all clamps.
