Got a unrestored and a concours II
« on: October 03, 2014, 02:11:16 PM »
To judge down in Savannah in a few days.
If anyone wants to help out, should be great time and a learning
experience.
Just stop by the judging clinic Friday, and get with me.
God Bless,
Jake Jarrell

Hey Bill,
Had a great time at the show, we stayed out on Tybee Island.
Louis helped me judge part of the unrestored King Cobra.

A new judge Amy from Maryland helped judge Mr. Williams 75'
She has an unrestored 84' T-Top notch , I think she will be a
Great little judge.
John Chlor was there , I think he was hiding from me, he did not
show up until we got done judging the II's !
Had Church service right at the venue , that was nice.

Hey Jake, I didn't put it together until now, but you had to be judging the car next to me, inside the trade center.  I was next to a red Mustang II; my wife and I brought our Black Jade '69 Mach 1.

Did you get over your sunburn?  That looked like it HURT!

Hello young man,
The day I judged the 75' was the first day I wore shoes,
In like a week!
I was in Vacation mode !
Tybee Island and Flip Flops ,so go hand in hand!
Lots of nice 69' at the show and 68' Shelby's !
I love the color of your car! I hope to get one that color or
Acapulco Blue with a 428 "R" of course!
Are you going to make any shows next year?
God Bless,
Jake

Jake, thanks for the compliments on the color!  I tried three different paint manufacturers before I found something that matched the original color.  Black Jade is one of those weird colors, and even some of the big names like PPG are very, very different from what is on my car.  I think I ended up using Pro Spray basecoat, since it was a close match to the original paint color I found under the seats and in the trunk.

We'll definitely be at the Augusta show.  It's only a 2.5 hour drive from the house, so maybe the car won't be as dirty as it was after driving to Savannah!   :D
