Very Cool!!! Now I've just got to get a GM parts reproducer to make HALOGEN reproductions of the famous "T3" headlights!!!-lol!-(we've got a '57 Chevy too)

Well in the end I am sure for most of us here there will never be any thing better than the real thing. But for the driven cars it just makes sense to use reproductions. Marty

There have been numerous stories about Halogens overloading headlight circuits.. What makes these new Halogens so special???  The original Mustang headlight system was not designed for the heat/stress of halogen bulbs.  Sounds like these new bulbs will need some kind of protection to go with them if used in an original system..

I'm afraid I'll have to agree......these things look semi-ok, but not quite ok enough imo.
IF they couldn't be made in Halogen any better than they were then why not just good old standard incandescent seald beams as the originals were and WITH the right logo whatever it was/is.

I believe that an early Mustang's headlight wireing system CAN tolerate the Halogens provided that is is in good shape with a QUALITY headlight switch to back it all up, I've put Halogens in my old '78 F150 and never had any trouble, and again back in the day my FIRST '65 Mustang had light switch issues way before halogens were invented.

What electrical problem would I create by combining my ,still working OE raised script logo w the Drake halogen if I can't find matching incandescent raised script bulb?

Halogens typically need more current than incandescents, so if the current draw is more than the headlight switch circuit breaker can handle, the CB will cycle off and on.
