On my restored '67 fastback, I've never been satisfied with the gaskets between the body tail light panel and the tail light bezel. The issue is that the gasket does not fill the space between the curved tail light panel and the bezel. Ten years ago I experimented with all sorts of gaskets, from NOS to USA-made repros to used originals. In the end, I moved on, yet remain unsatisfied with the gap left by these gaskets which in my car are all too thin.
So, 10yrs later I thought I'd check in and see if (a) anyone else has encountered this problem, (b) is anyone aware of thicker gaskets for this application? or (c) has anyone found a way to make their own custom molded gaskets?
Thanks!
