Shot of the passenger side wire loom retaining clip typical location. Purpose (to fix a 65 oversight) was to hold the wire loom up off the battery top surface. The reason it wasn't used on the drivers side normally

What's the square piece with the hole pattern in the bottom middle in front of the radiator support?  That doesn't look familiar to me.

Would guess its a PO added mount for a trans cooler. Must have run out of 2x4's ;)

MAR 66 METUCHEN service decal
« Reply #18 on: July 28, 2014, 07:16:11 AM »
...This was the original bay...

Several details look like the way my MAR 66 Metuchen C-Code Convertible was.  The gold washer bag, the almost vertically oriented service decal...

...I'm almost certain the Autolite decal should be the rectangular one, placed a little crooked on the right side of the bottom half of the air cleaner, and not the curved one on the lid.

my survivor April 66 NJ Fastback C code has the washer bag with white lettering, but the service decal is the same vertical position as well.
