Koni shock date codes

Where are the date codes on   Koni rear shocks and how to decode the date code, thanks.

Incorporated in the stamping on the upper body - if they are period correct they are all numbers (example - 4  65) with month then year





Need to get the pars dating article done - so that we can have allot of these handed and available when members need it

Thank you Jeff, the rear Koni shocks i found are both dated 7 66, would they be correct for a late build 66 GT350.

No since late 66 Shelby's didn't come with Koni's. They would be something that possibly got purchased at a parts house or shop and installed on a Shelby or Mustang

As Jeff said, they wouldn't have been originally installed on a really late production '66 GT350, since they did not come with Konis, but they certainly could have been installed on a very late carryover up to the time that Konis stopped being installed on the '66 GT350s.

Would agree if your building a Concours Trailered or Div II car and getting by

You are correct Jeff.  I had to read the post again.  I thought the OP said "7 65" not "7 66".
