GT Gas Cap ?

Am I assuming correctly that a 1965 GT (May 65 Dearborn car) did NOT have a GT Gas cap? When was the GT Gas Cap added to the GT option package?

Hi there,

You are correct there was no GT gas cap for 1965 (the '65 GTs used the standard Mustang gas cap).  The unique GT gas cap was introduced with the 1966 model year.
