Headlight Bucket Color

Repainting the headlight buckets after almost 50 years of use, what black should they be, gloss or semi-gloss?

Believe he is referring to the bucket that the actual headlight sits in allowing for the headlights to be adjustable

All painted by the stamping plant/provider so no variation I'm aware of

Same finish through all the years
