Topic: Headlight Adjustment Screw

I'm sure this is probably a simple procedure but when changing the headlight adjustment screw, do you need to change out the whole piece or can you just change the plastic and the screw?  Or how do you remove the bigger metal piece from the headlight fender extension?

you can change just the screw & plastic retainer. to remove the bucket you need a pair of long nose vise grip pliars to remove the spring or a hook type tool. not too much trouble either way.

I already have the bucket out as I am needing to blast it and repainting it.  Just that the screws have over spray on them from when that car was painted sometime back in the 80's or in 90 or 91 (second owner).  And they have some surface rust.  So I have been removing the clips that hold the extensions on, soaking those in evaporust and making things more correct.  One plastic retainer broke and the others are ok, but didn't know how or if I should remove those bigger metal retainers.  They are definitely in there...

Pictures Chris, pictures. You raised a red flag when you asked about removing the "bigger metal retainers". If they are what I'm thinking, they are pressed into the fenders. The adjusters are available from AMK (C2MB-13032-A, B-12495, screw; C3MB-13181-A, B-11760, nylon nut). They are "similar" but work.
