RH Cowl Wire Clip Oct 64 San Jose
« on: May 21, 2014, 12:20:14 AM »
Which type of wiring clip was used on on the right hand cowl brace on an Oct 64 San Jose build?  Is it the small ones or the ones that hold the parking light wiring harness?

Right hand - guess that is the passenger side

It appears to be the sheet metal style of electrical clips like the one below

I have seen the clip that Jeff pictured on the radiator support to hold the wire there on the passenger side, but I thought the clips on the cowl brace were these smaller ones?

Jim: The small ones were not used at that time during SJ production... The K convertible had those gnarly things also.  I can only imagine how many mechanics lost skin on these!

Thank you Charles - I didn't realize there was an early/late thing on those clips.  I'm using the nasty small ones on my 9/65 scheduled SJ car which I assume are correct for that period?

See those allot holding pillar light wiring for fastbacks in the trunk

The radiator support wire clip at the battery was a 66 fix to keep the wire from coming in contact with the top of the battery and the possible acid I believe

Not to go to far off topic, but here are those clips Jeff was referencing in the trunk:
