67; paint around former Fomoco data plate

If it matters, this is an early built 67 GT 350.  Under #100.  What are you judges looking for on the door face where the Fomoco data plate was removed.  Just floating it out there: Touch up paint in the holes or something?

I've seen everything from rivets gone to both rivets left,on rivet and even a rivet with piece of tag still under it

Depends on how far you want to take it. In most cases I believe judges will not deduct for untouched nicely painted rivet holes as if they were ever used. Other options could include installing them (and even another door tag temperately) then removing both the rivets and plate leaving what ever scars are left. If you use the second option I would suggest that you include in your "unusual or different" speech that you went to the extra effort and if any of the judges noticed the process left some telltale signs ;)

In 66 I've often found a small scratch from a worker likely inserting a screw driver behind the tag/plate and prying it off. Don't recall seeing one on a 67 though there are plenty that have been repainted before I saw them (the inner door area)
