Removable splash shield/mud flaps
« on: May 28, 2014, 05:09:02 PM »
Trying to find some direction on removable splash shields/mud flaps to protect the rocker paint and rear quarter areas while driving the car.  I have heard some individuals trim a regular flat mudflap and hold them on with binder clips.  I know I have seen examples of mud flaps that are manufactured to be used for temporary use and then removed for showing.  Does anyone have any information on these or other suggestions?

NPD sells something like that. what you suggested seems to work for those who use them.

I found clear see-through mud flaps at K-Mart (think they were $1.00 each and I got two flaps from each floor mat) , cut them to size (using another set of mud flaps I had at home as a template) and clip them on with the large alligator paper clips. Being clear they do not show up as much, probably any clear rubber mat or flexible plastic or rubber will work with the same results.
