'68 exhaust tips
« on: April 09, 2014, 11:07:11 PM »
Did the '68 Shelby use the standard GT dual exhaust rear valence?  Believe they used Shelby specific tips.

Have seen variations in a few photos...

8R01S : 65A B 2A 28M 72 7 5 - Factory GT

IMHO I believe that the Shelby used the same valance as the Ford. There are other here that have far more experience than I that should confirm.

Yes standard GT valance. Regarding the tips, only 2 styles. First pipe in pipe chrome tip for all GT 350/500, second dual split tip for GT 500 KR

Thanks Tim,

Those tips were the ones I was looking into.  On the "dual split tip" do you mean the standard '68 GT style?

They look like the GT style but are not clamp on. They are welded to the exhaust pipe
