Modifying 4 Bolt Rear Axle to 5 Bolt
« on: March 22, 2014, 07:06:03 PM »
I'm curious if anyone else has seen or heard of this service and has anyone had the Conversion Done? Not that I would ever do this; after all, this is a Concourse Forum and I'm a purist but I'm concerned. As you will see in the photos, this seems potentially dangerous to me as some of the new holes are very near the original holes. I can see this as a potential for stress crack development. To combat this, I would have expected welded plugs to fill the old holes for strength.
