Help identify?
« on: March 11, 2014, 07:55:26 PM »
I cleaned my striker plates and noticed what appeared to be the letter B scribed in each plate. They are original to the car and have the correct 10/64 stamping. Curious if it's factory marks, or customized by one of the previous owners? I also found two of this bolt and nut in my door hardware bag. Can't remember what it was from. Does it look familiar to anyone. Thank you.

It's the supplier's logo on the door striker. All (except a few, ain't that the way) bolt and screw lengths are measured by the grip, under the head to the tip. A diameter, thread per inch and head marking (grade) would help as well on the bolt.

The bolt and nut look like they are for the strut rod to the lower control arm hardware.
