Shocks on a '67 Dearborn S code
« on: March 29, 2014, 07:32:56 PM »
What shocks and what color should be on this car?  The build sheet has a C7 part number and then "BROWN", doe stat mean the shocks should be brown in color?  Thanks.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

Semi-gloss black  would guess AUTOLITE marked shocks. Rear would have the outer upper tube spot welded at the top

BROWN would be the paint mark/daub at the bottom of the shock (front and back)

Should be some examples in other threads as to how they were marked with a brush. If you can't find them let us know and we'll post some

Thanks Jeff, that's what I thought about the BROWN on the build sheet.  Surprised they are black Autolites, I would have guessed Corporate Blue.
