Not sure about nice, but it's pricey...

I've opted not to source a shield on mine given a reference in Bob Mannel's book that some of th early 64 1/2's didn't get the shield, but later in production they did.
I ask as I have seen some references with 64's earlier than mine with shields, I suppose it's one of those in betweeners I'll put one on instead of knowing whether they did come factory around that time...
Interested in your thoughts/comment?

Thanks, saw that one.

The general rule is that cars with A/C and K codes did not have the shield, all others did.

I suppose I'll add to the nice to have shopping list for now...

Found a couple references (sourced from Mustang Monthly site),
Serial # 1 and a K-code, both having shields...

The "hi-po" car picture is most likely a prototype or very early experimental car.  Painted valve covers and other subtle nuances if you pay attention to the details.
