I think your first picture is for I-6 power steering, ref Ford Car Parts illustration Sect 36 pg 4. I-6 power steering center link was a two piece item, the link and control assembly, bolted together. V-8 cars used a one piece center link with the control assembly part of the link. The tie rod ends were definitely different between the I-6 and V-8. However, no difference is indicated in Ford Car Parts, sec 30 pg 13, in I-6 power steering tie rod ends for Eaton or Ford pumps for either Mustang or Falcon.
