Tubular Crossmember
« on: June 15, 2011, 12:35:05 PM »
The tubular crossmember that bolts in under the oil pan has a rectangular flat spot
that is approximately 2"x1.25" formed into it.  Does this flat spot go toward the front of the
car or the rear of the car?
It looks like it's purpose is to keep the power steering valve assy. from hitting the tube?

Exactly what I was looking for guys. Didn't even know the flat spot was there until I removed the crossmember. Originally thought it may have been a "jacking" mark or something until I inspected it closely.
