In looking at a number of cars the position varies. As the MM article notes variations existed from the factories.
Based on a number of pics they appear to have the "G" centered about halfway on the LH side (most pics seem to show that side). You would have to flip that for the RH and decide how to locate there, probably overall length from the first side, flip and center both sets the same. As centering the T where the G was may not be a similar dimension (not that anyone would even notice as you can't see both sides at once!)
You could just scan the web, print a few pics and compare locations, scale off the prints for what you feel is best. Tape stripe cutout locates them, center them up and go for it. I doubt anyone is going to take a tape measure to the location?
