Thanks for all the input! I think the gas cap was replaced with the cable one during it's life. I was told that these gas caps were easy pickings to steal since they were not attached. No doubt if this was replaced, it could have been for that reason and ofcourse get one with the cable attched to prevent it from going missing again. I saw in the other link/post that another memeber has a June 29th 1964 Dearborn car without the cable, (same build as mine), so what the heck, I'm might as well treat it to the early 64 1/2 cap!
