Standard wheel finish for a 1964 1/2 Mustang
« on: September 20, 2013, 05:03:01 PM »
Might as well ask while I'm thinking of it.. What is the finish of the standard wheels on a 1964 1/2 Mustang? (June 64' Dearborn car) Satin black, gloss,???   If gloss, does anyone recommend using clear on the wheels for durability against the elements?    Thanks for the reply!

Semi-gloss black.

No need to use clear if you use a quality primer and catalyzed topcoat.

Here's a previous thread on the stock wheels, it shows the semi-gloss finish used when I think looks pretty good: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=4663.msg25937#msg25937
