1970 351C heater hose question with a/c

have incorrect hoses and water control valve...

anyone got some pics to share showing routing....especially at firewall

and how the water control valve hooks up..

Thinkl it might be best to check the assy manual - they normally have some good illustrations related to this.

In any case I don't have many good pictures of those areas as the air cleaner or shock tower supports are often in the way. To help I offer the following - not sure if its allot of help

Can someone please post some pictures of the correct heater hose routing out of the firewall (including the orientation and location of the heater valve) for a 351C with A/C.  I have seen a contradiction from what is shown in the Assembly Manual and other concours cars. Any help is appreciated

Looks pretty consistent across this sampling - except for the aftermarket rubber hoses and clamps . Five or six different cars for this sampling and not one "restored" car ;)

Hope this helps

Curved hose between the heater core and the shut off valve (as well as the steel tube) are going to be fun to find

And yes one owner ignored or didn't see the arrow on the shut off valve when they reinstalled it :(

This is very helpful Jeff, thanks!  The one thing I don't see in those pictures is the routing for the heater hose to the carbeurator choke. It looks like that particular heater hose, on some of the images you attached, is laying down below the valve cover, next to the exhaust manifold rather than right next to the choke.  Also - just to be clear - the heater hose that connects to the steel tube and the heater valve is coneected to the heater core tube that is closest to the driver's side, correct?

Looks like every owner when they replaced the original hoses forgot (or didn't try) to return the hose to the hose holder on the carburator choke. Instead they left that hose hanging loose next too or below the valve cover

Yes that is what it shows in that one picture. Luckly that that car recently showed up at the Resto Mod shop. Though pretty original (had been parked for over 30 years) it left alot less original - Aftermarket suspension (no coil springs....)  carb, intake, aluminum radiator, Calif evap and gas tank gone ......

Nope - no pictures with that detail or I would have shared it ;)

Since the PVC hose was installed on the engine before it was slipped into the engine compartment and the heater hoses attached to the heater before it was installed and they were in place when the engine was installed (short S shaped hose on the one going to the shut off valve)  The easiest and quickest  routing IMHO would be to place the second outer heater hose into the choke holder/bracket after the other hose was connected and over the PVC hose

Just a guess
