Found My Build Sheet! - Tape Color Question
« on: August 05, 2013, 01:48:00 PM »
I came across my build sheet yesterday! It was beneath the drivers side carpet pad. Most of the build sheet was in rough shape but I can make out some of it.

I did notice that the "Tape Stripe" section was marked with a "T". It could also be a "1" or an "I". Can anyone tell me what color tape stripe that would be?  I have seen a stripe color chart for 1969 Mach 1's but I'm not sure if part of that chart applies to 1969 GT's as well.

Thanks.

Thanks very much for the information Bob. Can you tell me if I can access this Build Sheet reference material? Is there a website or some reference manual I can purchase?

Don't believe there are any good reliable web sites with the info, no one has written a book for sale (was discussed but allot of effort for little reward) and the book/binder Bob used to answer your question - if you could find one- would likely sell for hundreds of dollars. I've never seen one available in 40 plus years.

Thanks Jeff. I didn't realize there was even a book printed that contained this information.

Thanks Jeff. I didn't realize there was even a book printed that contained this information.

Figured someone at the plant had to have one every year (or multiple as things changed)  but was amazed/surprised when Bob came up with one or multiple years. Very cool find
