A reintroduction
« on: June 18, 2013, 08:48:08 PM »
I haven't visited this forum in quite awhile so please allow me to (re)introduce myself. I am the original owner of a 1969 Metuchen built (12/19/1968) Mach 1. It's a Cobra Jet, 4 speed, W axle code car which currently has a shade over 28,000 miles on it. It is not a survivor. It was a drag racing car during the 1970s, sat in my climate controlled garage for the 80s and 90s until completely restored in 2003-2004 by a  professional Mustang restorer. The car is close to concours, close because that's the way I wanted it. No smog! The car took a silver in coucours driven at the MCA Grand National in Youngstown, Ohio a few years ago to give you some idea as to the restoration. Since I know the complete history of this car literally from the day it was ordered and also know every nut bolt and washer inside and out I'd be happy to share what I know about these cars. Granted I'm not one of the experts you have on this forum but I do know about my car and how it came from the factory.
