Asheville show
« on: July 02, 2013, 11:53:36 AM »
Hey,  Any of you boys headed to the MCA show this week. Myself and Rich West are leaving tomorrow. We will be parked in the Expo center, thankfully with all the rain we are having. Looking forward to seeing some of my old friends.  8) Later,

I am planning to go and was going to take the T-bred K code, but not sure it will make it.  I've been helping a friend with a 64.5 convertible which will be parked inside and riding down with Mike Murray from Va.  Looks like a good chance of rain most of Fri-Sun, maybe the forecast will change.

I don't have much confidence in weather forecasters, but the local guy here predicts Saturday and (especially) Sunday will be pretty good.  Always a chance of rain in the afternoon in July though.

Plan B is basically just doing a quick walk around and scoring a car Gold/Silver/Bronze without doing any actual judging.  It's quite a short-change to the entrants, but unfortunately can't be avoided if the weather does not cooperate.

Six Mustang II's and about that many 64 1/2's,
Charles Turner's friend has a nice 64 inside besides Mikes car, and a orginal owner special order paint 70' Boss 302 that is nice! with a group 22 battery.
If any body is here from the form stop me and say hello.

Great show considering the weather which actually cooperated holding off during the day and mainly raining at night. The judges did not just walk around our car.  Minus not judging the undercarriage Mike was very thorough and I learned a lot from him, Believe he spent 45 + mins on it.

We enjoyed our time at the show.

Had a great time! As others have said, the rain held off (except some slight misting) during the day to make for a very pleasant experience. Show site was a bit crowded to navigate in the am and pm.

Looking forward to the Grand National at Disney!
