Toploader Inspection Marks
« on: April 15, 2012, 09:42:50 PM »
I started cleaning up the 4 speed trans from my car today and was happy to see most of the original inspection markings still visible under the spray-bomb black paint that I sprayed on it 30+ years ago.  I tried to document them as best I could and thought I would post them up for comparison or comment from others.  My car is a 64.5, mid April 1964, Dearborn production, D-code, 4 speed, PS, PB, coupe.

Enjoy.

Thanks for posting - put these with the rest of the H-G examples. Never seen a trans mount marked like that before - maybe a  early 64 thing carried oer for a short period

I had actually forgotten that I had posted these.  Glad someone found them of use.
