I have a question regarding this radiator.  After reading the posted  radiator data, my radiator appears to be too early for 1964 1/2....maybe it's not a Mustang radiator at all... I have had it for many years and my feeble brain thinks I pulled it off a Mustang many years ago.  But the stamped markings on the side mounting says C3DE BE1.  On the top of the radiator is stamped FoMoCo, and there is a soldered tag on the top side of the tank that reads 8MB 7.  Maybe from a Falcon?

So what's the verdict on my mysterious radiator?
Not a Mustang radiator. Falcon would be a good guess. The centered fill spout is the tip off . The 65/66 Mustang fill spout is off set to one side.

I have two 65/66 air conditioning v8 cars.  I am trying to find two original radiators.  I have several original radiators Y and X code.

Are a/c radiators different?  Are they 3 core?  Can I have a Y code recorded to work with a/c?

Of course you can by the "right" radiator shop. May look odd and surely not factory if anyone looks at it that know factory radiators

As far as other details we don't know what plant of application your trying to "make" a radiator for. For some application you might want to save an original radiator and just make a second one for use in a modified car if I understand correctly what your trying to do

I am trying to determine if the only difference between the 65/66 A/C and non-A/C radiators is the number of fins per inch.  The A/C having 15 vs the non A/C having 12.  I have one Dearborn and one Metuchen 289 V8 A/C cars I am trying to source original radiators for.  I have two Y code Dearborn radiators.  If the fins count is the only difference, then it seems like that can be handled through a good recore.

Also, can anyone recommend a radiator shop they have used for this type of recore?
