Topic: Pic links not working?

Hi all,

I'm a relative newbie here.  I have been reading this site for some time, but have much more to learn that I have to offer, hence my low post count.

I am having a problem where pic links posted by others aren't working.  Is this an option I have set incorrectly, or possibly due to my low post count?
External links work, it's just pics that appear to be hosted locally that don't work I think...

The pictures you listed in your post are not held locally but on another service - Photobucket. DO you have the thread or hyperlink that you could post so someone else can try them. Your thumbnail didn't work out either

Hmmm, now I AM confused!   

The screen snapshot I hosted at photobucket and linked in my opening post appears properly for me when I view this thread.

It shows 4 links I chose from in 'reply 19' of this thread

These 4 links that don't work appear to be hosted locally.  The first of these 4 links shown in my snapshot is:

In the thread these appear as a dead link with a 'bad' thumbnail and when clicked I get 'page not found'..

I hope that makes sense..

Nope. Sometimes the pictures will load. Sometimes they won't. At other times they take several minutes to load. Found that the older the posts, the more consistent the problems seem to be.

It could be an issue with the space in the file name 67 1.jpg. Some browsers don't care for spaces in hyperlinks.


The pictures are working for me.

I use chrome and have very few issues, but i'll try another browser and report back!

I use Chrome exclusively. That's probably not an issue.


I have noticed when I browse from work that they block some of the content dependent on where it's hosted.
