Subject: 1965 Data Plate Tag Colors

Perusing over Kevin Marti's Book, He mentions that Later '65's mostly had Acryllic enamel after 12/28/64 which would make them have Grey Dataplates instead of Black...

In reality, and in your opinion, Do you really think that there are more Grey Dataplates out there after 12/28/64, than Black ones? (non-acrylic enamel) - For '65 Cars...

If you have a '65 car built after 12/28/64, Please chime in with what color your car is, Plant and Build Date, and what color your dataplate is (Black or Grey)


I'll start...  1965 Metuchen Built Hardtop, Date 30T, VIN#5T07183342, Color M-White - Grey Colored Dataplate   - Car was junked by me in 1992 due to severe rust problems!

I had an early 65 convt., Eaton Pump, Old type door handles, Draft Tube,  Dearborn, 5F08C397821,  Black dataplate
