Dash Removal
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:26:44 PM »
Having troubles removing the dash.  Is it necessary to remove the windshield first.  The windshield is cracked badly and will need to be replaced so I thought I would leave it in to keep some of the dust out of the interior.  I believe I have all the screws removed.  Got the ones holding the trim on by the windshield and the ones underneith.  Looked in the master parts catalogue and saw there were two on each and and one on each side of the center to the side of the radio.  For the life of me I can't find these two.  I've removed the cluster and all of the trim pieces, wondering if its maybe stuck in place.  The sun has gotten to it and it is very sticky.

Thanks,

Yes, sorry I should have clarified that.  I had to wrestle it a bit it was stuck, I think that hot California sun melted it to the dash.  I did get it out with any damage.  Many things different than on the 69.  No build sheet yet bummer was hoping it was behind the instrument cluster.

Would be surprised if you did find one - especially in that location ;)

Glad you were able to get it unstuck
