Blue Color Low Profile Rally Pac

I f you had a blue colored low profile rally pac in 66 would it still have the krinkle finish?

Yes the color coded/matching ones were wrinkle paint also

Hey Charles (or anyne else who wants to chime in), In the picture, is the inside front of the guage black? next to the tach/clock lense. If so I'm guessing it's not krinkle paint in that area?

Yes, the inside is normally black, like a flat or satin.  And no, not crinkle there.

I've never had it done, but have heard that some paint refinish supply stores can mix crinkle paint in any color.

I had heard this too but when I tried to do it the paint guys just looked at me funny.  Had no clue what wrinkle finish paint was or how to do it.  Maybe I needed better suppliers?

I think you can still get wrinkle in black or red rattle cans.  I had to do white, so we ended up shooting them black then covering them with a thin coat of gray primer and a coat of eggshell white lacquer.  Not perfect but all we could figure to do at the time.

Found the paint in black @ Autozone "VHT wrinkle plus". Painted it today already looking good. Will let it dry for a few days then start the process getting in blue.

On this (youthful, I guess) site I found someone who did blue wrinkle finish with black and blue. In the (somewhat blurry) picture the result seems decent.

Another question in my wanting to be concours correct is about the mounting bracket and wire cover. Would this be blue also?
