69 Carb Date
« on: March 05, 2013, 07:12:05 PM »
Would like to get a correct date range for the carburetor for a 1969 CJ ?  The car is a 428, 4 speed Metuchen car.  Marti actually built date is 9/19/68 so a pretty early car.  Block casting date is 8/17/68 and block assembly date is 8/27/68.  C9AF-M 9510 and not sure what the Holley List number should be ?  Thanks,  Brian

Three examples that might help

68-18F   - carb date 833
68-18M  - carb date 895
70-13A  - carb date 992

This ad suggest (sorry no picture of an air horn for this carb in my files) List - 4279 I have not connection to the seller ;)

He seems to have a bunch  of them

Thanks Jeff; called the e-Bay seller and he volunteered 3 to 6 weeks prior to production.  From another source, on the CJ Registry, also 3 to 6 weeks.  So that puts me at the month of August.  Pretty much the same date range for the intake manifold.  Brian
