Clarification on PS teal, years....
« on: April 10, 2013, 09:46:24 AM »
An older post on 69-70's notes:

Quote
1. 1961 Ford Fairlane/Galaxie Chesapeak Blue - code H, Ford code M1367
2. Dupont 4157, 202-94879, 181-94879
3. Acme Rogers 8941
4. Omni AU (this is what I went with) Brand code 12366, OEM code H,M30J1367, color name: Express Blue Poly

Does this apply to all 65-70 PS pumps which should be teal, or only 69-70?  As NPD (not assuming their color is 100% correct, it look slighter than some I have seen) notes a PS pump teal, bit only for 65-66.  Did it change; 65-66, then 67-68, then 69-70, or was is consistent...???

Don't believe the color was ever consistent and changed depending on batch rather than year to year. NPD reproduction was made by copying one of the versions and IMHO is in the middle of ones I've seen.  SO IMHO its not an exact thing and unfortunately you've got to spray it to tell if its too light, dark, metallic,......  Plenty of those seen at shows
