Hi GT Fastbacker ;D

yes , this is what i wanna know, too.
I have a 1969 Mach 1 built in Metuchen on 18th of July 1969 with FMX transmission. Original it is a H-code (351W-2V), now its more a 351W-4V.
Some people say its the same decal as the GT-350 had (K211S), could be for the 351W-4V?. The 1970 351W-2V had the K207A Decal.
There are a lot of numbers listed on the following site, but im confused.

Code is on the upper left hand section of the buildsheet - think that will be the easiest reference - rather than all these web page places ;) Shelby will be different since its a different engine (how it was equipped) I believe

Let me see what I have in my collection that will help

PS or AC??

I have buildsheets from late 69 NJ with H codes, FMX single exhaust but one with PS and one without and they used two different codes - the reason I'm asking ;)

Unfortunately I don't have a buildsheet to match you car. Doing some research Kevin Martis Tag book suggests that only 202(manual) and 203 (automatic)  were used but that does not match what I have on buildsheets - Hmmm. If we had your engine tag (aluminum one attached at the coil mount) we would have more information

Checked the decal guys and I could not find your application listed there

Ford books list the following codes (column on the left) as ones assigned to the H code Windsor and the three with the additional information show what I found or buildsheets with those codes (column on the right).

200
201
202   3 speed no PS no AC
203   Automatic with PS no AC
204
206
207   Automatic no PS no AC

Sorry for the puzzle ;)

Jeff, our 69 Mach 1 has no PS or AC and the engine code is 203, actually K203S(see above description in this thread). So, I'd say there is some sort of discrepancy somewhere.

I see in the Marti Mustang and Cougar tagbook on page 95 information on '69 engine tag chart, there's no mention of PS or AC for the 203 code.

The codes are listed in my earlier post just as they are in the Ford document I took them from - without the K or S (in this case) so as to not embellish anything

Yes I noted that in my earlier post - Kevin typically places allot of value on Ford books rather than cars and physical findings. I tend to lean towards the findings rather than print - just me. You'll notice that Kevin was kind to include a couple of us here (members) on this site in him acknowledgment in the book ;) (Thanks Kevin)

One of the H code PS no AC Automatic buildsheets I found the 207 code used one ;)

Our 69 Mach 1 has "NO" PS no AC and has 203 engine code. Your finding here was "WITH" PS no AC and has 207 engine code. I didn't see a 207 in Marti book.....hmmm.

Didn't want any confusion here, actually ours coinsides with Marti tagbook...Our engine tag is the original.

Easy for confusion to set in with some of these details

Here is an example (cut and pasted so you can see the options as well as the top section with the engine code) showing a K203S H code automatic with only PS

So the search/study continues ;)

Thanks Joe - Looking at the original post you got I see we went down the wrong road on this one I think.

So he's pretending the car is an M code in a H code body and he is looking for the original code for an automatic equipped M code from late 69?

Check (if you would) and Let's see if we can answer his question -

Thanks

Hello everyone,

thank you for your help. I have original a H-code with the original 351W-2V. We rebuilt this engine to a 4V (4V intake manifold/ 4V Carburator and Flattop Pistons). I think i should use the 4V decal now. It should be the K211S?

OF course it will not match your door tag or VIN but your choice. If the car was an automatic transmission M code (4V) then K211S would be correct
