center console storage compartment "felt"
« on: July 13, 2014, 05:03:33 PM »
Inside the front storage compartment of the center console is some sort of felt-like coating. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a product that can be used to replicate that original coating.

I bought my products from this place. Here is the link to the applicator I used.

You would need to buy the adhesive and fiber also. Look around the site, check some youtube videos on "flocking" and you can do it rather easily.

I also flocked the insides of my seat belt cup holders, I know it is not concours, but I like it. It looks very nice too. I then flocked the inside of my rear ash tray since it ws slightly rusty and nobody will be smoking in my car anyways. Yes, I got carried away, but it looks so sweeeeeet!

Guys, is the original "flocking" black or dark grey in color? To me, the "flocking" in these console applications appears black, but they sell charcoal grey kits as well.
