Door Courtesy Lights
« on: April 21, 2012, 08:46:26 PM »
Hello Everyone!
I am going through my parts bin and have two sets of the interior door courtesy lights. On the back of one set is raised lettering C5ZZ-13786 and the wiring harness is pssed in the middle between the two wires. On the second set has the Ford logo in the upper left, then raised lettering with C5ZB-13B722-B second line KBC 23413, a number 1 in the upper right corner and the wiring harness is smooth rounded between the two wires with a crimp at the end. Which set is correct for my '65 San Jose fastback? Also, has anyone powder coated the white part of the lens to keep it bright and shiny?
Thank you!

IMHO, the C5ZB is an original part from the car and the C5ZZ is what is normally called a service part indicated by the second Z.

Agree, but I would also suggest that the one marked C5ZZ might be a reproduction.
