70 rear window louver latch bushings C9ZZ-6344288-A?
« on: February 02, 2012, 01:20:58 AM »
I asked this quite a while ago on Allen's forum, and it's still a mystery to me.

"Been missing for 25 years now, which is ridiculous.
How hard could it be to get these items?
I find it hard to believe that they exist for no other purpose or application other than this.
They are a pair of tiny white bushings that plug into the hole on each side of the bottom of the louver where the latches go.
It's all detailed in an exploded view diagram in the MPC which I'd post if my dvd worked in Vista."

Might have to break down and  buy an NOS louver kit, and just sell my current setup.

Guess you've found how hard they would be to find. Rarely see any left on original cars but don't recall anyone describing them as "white"

Maybe grey?

Guys, if they even know they are missing) will will just cut down a valve stem cap and used them

If you had a sample it would be fairly easy to make some

They look akin to the same era GM brake and clutch pedal bushings.

I've seen door hinge pin bushings used a number of times as a substitute for the actual louver bushings.
