65-66 OEM 9-inch U-joint bolts

The bolts pictured are Ford service parts for the 9-inch rear end. Did OEM bolts have the raised pad at the rear or were they smooth?

Originals I have seen have some type of circular pattern at the top.  Usually does not stick up though.

Thanks, both bolts are identical, I think the circular pad is just a little more pronounced in the top one because of the lighting...
