66 Shelby shock bolts

What finish should be on the 4 front top shock bolts in the engine compartment?
Yellow zinc?  Clear zinc?  Cad?  I can't tell on the original bolts.

Clear zinc or cadmium.

Are those bolts correct for the Shelby's?  I have original Konis that I removed from the car and the bolts I have are different.  They have a larger almost flat head with captive star washer and they are longer than the standard bolts shown in your pic.

The larger head bolts started to be used because the head of the standard Mustang bolt would start to squeeze through the mounting because the head was too small. The Mustang bolts on a period correct Koni shocks scare the heck out of me. The newer Koni replacement aren't as bad in that respect. Bob

Here's a pic of the bolts on #455.  I think I see traces of yellow zinc on them, I just want to be sure that is what they are supposed to be.

Here is a picture of the bolts I believe you have?

Finish always looked to be like cad close in look to clear zinc just not as bright

Sorry, I should have asked what car number we are talking about here...I had later '66 cars on the brain. 

As mentioned, the bolts for the Koni shocks are totally different.  I can't say for sure, but I think those particular bolts may have been cadmium plated as Jeff mentioned, rather than clear zinc.  That may be a difficult one to nail down though.

I do not believe they were ever zinc dichromate (gold.)
